Just last week, Vogue editor/socialite Lauren Davis was set to marry her very own Prince Charming, billionaire Colombian Andres Santo Domingo on the private South American island of Baru, conveniently owned by the bridegroom’s family. Must be nice! Fabiola Beracasa and Tinsley Mortimer are said to be two of nine bridesmaids…
The bride-to-be has been noticeably absent around the Condé Nast building… When will pictures surface? I’m sleuthing, gals. Sleuthing.
Bisou Bisou,
Belle
Andres Santo Domingo and his family are COLOMBIAN not Bolivian. Baru is a Colombian island in the Caribbean.
Ah – thanks so much for the update!
The wedding is tomorrow. They are getting married in Cartagena, not Baru, and the wedding reception is 4 blocks aways from the Church in the SantoDomingo Mansion. How do I know this?? I’m from Cartagena.
Here’s a link with pictures to a story about teh wedding in a Colombian Newspaper.

Enjoy.
I think the wedding is just happening today, Jan 18, not the 8th as repeatedly reported by THe Post.
Lauren came in a black open carriage with her father to the church, where it was so hot that around 50 guests get outside right after the beginning of the ceremony. She had an amazing dress with a pretty long (2 meters) ..hhhmmm.. dont know the name … this long thing behind the dress
sorry I am not native speaker.
The wedding ceremony finished 1 hour ago, after it they walked from the church to Santo Domingos house 3 blocks away with Andres father Julio Mario Santo Domingo on the side. All the guests walked behind. I have fotos and videos .. interested ? [E-mail removed for privacy]
Yes indeed, the wedding ceremony happened just last night. Cartagena’s colonial downtown was looking more beautiful than ever and the police presence was massive due to the presence of various personalities from international Stablishments (Laura Bush, Andrea Casiraghi-boyfriend of just another Santodomingo sibling, Chelsea Clinton, among others) The whole Ciudad Amurallada (Walled City of Cartagena) was closed for the event although the Santodomingos’ Spanish-style Colonial Mansion is located just bloks away from the church and square of Santodomingo (these Colombian family is in fact stinking rich, really)

You guys are the best!
The Santo Domingo Church and Square has nothing to do with the Santodomingo Family. The construction for the church finished in 1630, way before the Santodomingo Family was here in Cartagena. Just mere coincidence. The Square is named for the church and not for the family.
Still the family is the second richest family in South America.
BTW, there is ACs in most of the building sin Cartagena, including the church.
Cartagena de Indias is one of the oldest cities in America (the continent). Here is not like in the US where the name of a Shopping Mall is named after a cheese celebrity visits the town.
The Santo Domingos do not own the Island of Baru. They do have a mansion on the island with a private alcove beach. The wedding took place not on the island as most columnists say but inside Cartagena’s magnificent walled city. The Santo Domingo church is named after Saint Dominic and has nothing to do with the Santo Domingos. The wedding took place there because the family loves appearances despite their wealth which is rather new.
the wedding was amaaaaazzzinnggg!! she looked absolutley beeaaauutttiifffuulll.!
Lauren is beautiful, such a fashion icon. I hope she continues to write for Vogue. Best wishes for her!
