Hi all!

Last Monday, we saw a slew of celebrities, editors, models, and social butterflies storm the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy. Below, my five favorite sexy superhero socialites. (Of course, I’m making these superhero names up!)

Zoe Kravitz as The Vintage Vixen

Tory Burch as The Purple Goddess

Ivanka Trump as The White Light

Georgina Chapman as The Golden Girl

Meredith Melling Burke as The Glittering Goddess

Which newly married social swan wants to start a family ASAP? Only she doesn’t want to adopt, nor ruin her fabulous figure. Sources say she’s heavy on the hunt for a ‘gestational carrier’.

Mrs. Lauren Santo Domingo! Half the joy of becoming a mother is bonding with your baby during your pregnancy. You’re a young 31! If this choice isn’t based solely upon health reasons, don’t cheapen your impending motherhood experience by literally renting a womb.

In a photograph taken at last month’s BET Honors Awards, the usually slim and trim Mrs. Jaci Reid, wife of Morris Reid, is looking a bit pudgy around the midsection (but still ridiculously GORGEOUS)…

What say you? Think she’s preggers? Time will tell, though it could be the way she’s standing + angle + the dress…

Oh, how I love thee, Madame Genevieve Jones: Everyone’s favorite southern social climber (I love her dearly!) is featured in the February issue of Vogue as one of Three Jewelry Designers on the Rise- she’s just releasing her (rather pricey) jewelry collection. Congrats doll!

Any thoughts on Ms. Jones or her collection? Do share! You know what to do.

Here’s they happy couple leaving the wedding, walking to the reception at the Santo Domingo manor, which apparently is only a few minutes away by foot.

I’m on it. More photos to come hopefully.

Well, this misprint, mistake, f*ck-up, whatever you want to call it, is definitely the reason why we haven’t seen any pictures from the recent nuptials of Vogue editor/socialite Lauren Davis and her handsome intended Andres Santo Domingo… they were wed yesterday, Saturday the 18th, not Tuesday the 8th. (I thought a Tuesday wedding was beyond weird anyway!)

Many thanks to the few Fabulous.Elite.Life readers who tipped me off to the Post’s unusual mistake. You know who you are. Here’s a brief synopsis of what really happened at yesterday’s soirée:

*They were married in downtown colonial Cartagena at The Church of Santo Domingo, not on the island of Baru. A city wedding instead of an island fête? Interesting. Looks like someone intentionally led the NY Post way off base…
*The bride arrived with her father in a black carriage, and was wearing a fabulous Olivier Theyskens gown with a très long train… I’m hoping to get my hands on photos – still sleuthing!
*Along with her socialite heavy bridal party, other boldface names like Lauren Bush and Chelsea Clinton were also there in support of their friend.

Congratulations Mrs. Santo Domingo! I can only hope to be as lucky in love as you. Below, enjoy a couple pics of the newlyweds:

Note: If you’re looking for me on Tuesday, March 4th, my arse will be firmly planted on my couch, as I’ll be checking out Bravo’s East Coast counterpart to their hit series, The Real Housewives of Orange County. In the Real Housewives of New York City, camera crews followed a group of Manhattan-based socialites last summer as they conducted their daily lives; everything from mani/pedis, social lunches, charity events, home life, and anything else in between.

Click HERE to read all about the five featured females.

I personally would have rather seen Tinsley, Muffie, Dayssi, Aerin, and Lauren, but hey – I can’t have it all.

Praise be for the writer’s strike. I sure could add a few more mindless reality shows to my weekly must-Tivo list.
